DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review
tooling work orders with supervisor prior to start of operation(s), to
verify scope, method and correct reference tools to be used.
- Review
specific process specifications with supervisor to ensure a complete
understanding of customer requirements.
- Assist
in the fabrication of fiberglass, plaster, plastic, kirksite and
non-metallic tooling and reference tooling per customer
specifications/requirements.
- Perform
foundry tooling set ups (build boxes as required) and cast kirksite tools.
- Maintain
a safe and effective work area.
REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability
to operate band saws, drill presses, hand tools and sanders etc
- Ability
to assist tool makers in the set up and fabrication of tooling.
- Ability
to perform minor set ups under supervision.
- Ability
to perform foundry duties per industry standards in a safe manner at all
times.
- Ability
to learn and understand the proper use of measuring tools (i.e., scales,
calipers, etc).
